The place of fresh waters: uphill and downhill on Grimselpass, Switzerland
The Furka road from Gletsch up to Grimselpass cuts through a region packed with dozens of lakes and hundreds of springs.
Hydroelectric dams, pipelines, high voltage lines frame this alien panorama.
In smaller lakes water is pumped up when electricity cost drops …
… and the same water is then released into pipelines to downhill turbines close to bigger lakes, thus producing new low cost electricity.
Wicked, uh?

Stunning imagery! Astonishing captures.
I would expect some distortion from the lower mm lenses. But there appears to be none with exceptional scope. Beautiful.
Thank you! The 16-35 f/4 is a gorgeous lens and distortion gets somehow visible at 16 mm, when shooting straight lines/buildings – otherwise no correction needs to be applied, as you noticed.
All million dollar views! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
