1.-Mai-Fest in Zürich 2014: red flags in Zurich fighting for better working conditions and minimal salaries
The 1st of May in Zurich is a wonderful opportunity to shoot a photo reportage. Let’s join the demonstration from its arrival in the old downtown. Police guides the demonstration and protect sensitive targets. Demonstrators flow through the city and finally meet at the Opera square.
The calm before the storm
Here they come through the bridge!
At the attack of fortress Europe!
Better jobs, minimal salaries for everybody!
Power to the Red Falcons (left wing kids of Zurich) too!
Cut the plebs out of the picture, dear.
AGAINST, now and forever!
Syndicalist on the run…
A Communist is made …
… but also born.
4000.- Swiss Francs per months: that’s a minimal salary!
The Red Flags conquered Zurich!
And so ended the International workers’ day in Zurich, pictures shot between Bella Ciao and the International Socialist with Nikon D800 plus 70-200 VRII – click to enlarge each picture
was expecting this post 🙂 — but no bloody fights??
and the “cut the plebs” photo was funny!
It rained in the afternoon so ARTBorghi reportage ended abruptly 😉 … but as written here, it was a super quiet MayDay: http://www.20min.ch/schweiz/news/story/-Keine-Beschaedigungen—ein-Top-Ergebnis–29184445
Have a International 1st of May there across the Oceans!
how come quite? btw i wish they had this 4000 per month min wage law enforced when i was a student…– or maybe they’ll make poor scientist sacrifices exceptional anyways :/
Yeah thank you!! in this true capitalistic country we celebrate by working!!
Don’t worry the referendum on the 4,000 will probably never pass, so more generations of phd students will have to bite the bullet. Greetings to uncle Sam 😉
