A very Happy New Year 2015 from the misty Oslo, Norway
On Sylvester night, a sudden mist reached Oslo from the bay and engulfed the capital. Despite the thick fog, the city-hall did not cancel the firework show. People then moved from the center to the harbor still covered with snow to imagine the fireworks in this special night.
All pictures shot hand-held in the Scandinavian darkness with Nikon D800 plus the 50 mm f/1.4 G – and a very Happy New Year to all of you! Click each picture to enlarge.
Butiful captures of what must have been an extraordinary night! M 🙂
“Beautiful,” of course!!!! Could change the whole meaning! M
I understand what you mean 🙂 I was looking for fireworks reflected on the bay, instead there was such thick fog – but still, colorful flashes and ghosts in the mist made it all very peculiar!
