Color or black-and-white snow landscapes?
Snow landscapes: better color or b/w ? Sometimes, it is difficult to choose. Colorful spots might enhance white snow, still black-and-white boosts structures. This time I could not choose: and you?
Grasses: structures or colors ?
Snow white or color ?
Woods: black shapes on white snow or colorful objects?
People: modern or past times?
Benches: dominant or hidden ?
Repetitive patterns: colorful silhouettes or white snow on black trees?

Love the pics. The one with the looks is my favorite. Just enough color to add contrast and to catch your attention.

Thanks Jim, logs or looks? I suppose these were the last snow pictures, Spring already arrived here. What is that big trophy you have in your new picture?
That is the trophy for the Canadian Open. It is our national golf tournament for professionals. I was able to pose with it at a golf show.

And I thought you won it!
I wish, but I have goals to win other trophies! I really like your recent pics!

All the best with your next challenges! Looking forward to see you and a new trophy in your next picture logo… and thanks for all your nice feedback on atborghi!
I believe the choice is more content based. Many B&W pictures, particularily with good sharpness and texture, hold up very well critically, and can be diminished with color. Some color images offer stunning, contrasts particularily when the color renditions are well managed. Snow scapes often yield a sometimes subtle bluish tone, not readily visible in B&W, giving more of an ethereal feeling to the presentation. M
Thanks for the comment, I tend to dislike bluish in landscape pictures but I noticed only after your comment that also my snow pictures have it, so maybe it is indeed not so bad 🙂 It might give that icy feeling more than plain b&w.
