ARTBorghi Solar eclipse 20.3.2015 : a 2 hour-long time-lapse shot from Zürich Botanical Garden

With an infrared filter mounted on my Nikon 50 mm f/1.4G on D800, here is a time lapse in a single merged picture (one shot every 15 seconds, selected). Notice the tree branches on the upper right corner.

Nice capture. Looks like you were not far from the totality. Just recently I published a retro of the 1970 total eclipse, and how NOT to shoot it, http://wp.me/p37YEI-1t3 but am looking forward to another chance in 2017 here in the states. M 🙂
I was in Munchen for the total eclipse 1999 – but had no camera filter ! I really admire your hand made tool to shoot the eclipse : if I only read you post earlier …. thanks for commenting!

Time lapsing the eclipse for 2 hours was a great occasion to really feel we are on a sphere rotating around other spheres … odd feeling.
