Still some mountain road to climb …
… the last bends before reaching the last pass of the tour, the Sustenpass.
Time for a walk towards the last glacier, at the base of Sustenjoch …
… and when the alpine path gets too long, the zoom comes to help.
Despite the sun still high,
when the longest shadow reaches the middle of the lake
It is time for setting head to a safe harbour.
All the shades of green and blue that adorned the day
rapidly turn into black and white on the lake surface,
while the sky warms up a last time before darkness.
That’s the moment when the steam wheels sail off Lucerne
drive in line through the strait of the lake
and pay a visit there, where this country was born on August 1, 1291.
… and only by then the first fires are started to fight the long, Alpine night.

… there’s a starman waiting in the sky! Mr. Bügler told us not to blow it, cause he knows it’s all worthwhile…
After a long drought period, it started raining men in Zurich.
Please appreciate the DX mode of the D800 which pushes this full frame camera to the warp speed of 5 fps ! Although not impressing, it is still enough for shooting some cool acrobatic jumps into Zurich lake! The middle guy is parachuting with the flag of Zurich.
C.I.O.F.F. activities are great opportunities for Zurich to know the multicultural communities living in the city. Can you distinguish Mexicans, Russians, Greeks and Poles while performing on stage?
Not only kids are dancing on stage, but they are often the funniest side of the show.
I shot these pictures the last time C.I.O.F.F. performed at Zuerich Faescht 2013. I love the multicultural density in Zurich and these performances are a great opportunity to know traditions from all over the world.
