In the night streets of Zurich, through encouraging shop lights and outdoor cafes, cold surrogates stare at the empty city, looking for human remnants.

Astro-photography requires dark, long and often cold nights for capturing good shots, still sometimes a balcony is sufficient. These pictures where shot from my balcony in Zurich. Picture exposures go from some fractions of second to 33 minutes (a composition of 11 pictures, each 3 minute long). Long exposures were possible thanks to a Skyguider Pro mount and a Nikon 200 mm zoom.
