Wrong flight?
A last check at the departures …
… and here are the planes ready to fly us to …
… or are these ones?
Hard to image a flight on those up there …
Now they are landing, leaving the airspace free …
… to the right one! Not all Swiss-flagged flights are Swiss. Patrouille Suisse made the air show! Pictures shot at the 70 years celebration of Zurich Airport. Click to enlarge and see the pilot smile.

Shooting stars over Zurich
Shooting stars over Zurich as seen from Hönggerberg (North side of the city). Despite that light pollution is intense above the city, it was still possible to capture the most intense shooting stars at 15”, f/4, ISO-400. Click the picture to enlarge.
What is what? Click the picture below to tell airplanes and planets from shooting stars.
Pictures shot in the night of 12.8.2018 in Continuous Mode with Nikon D800; 16-35 mm f/4 and blended in Photoshop.

Hunting the blood moon across Zurich
Just above the horizon in Zurich-West. The blood moon is still purple in the blue light after dusk
The red moon across Zurich Niederdorf (old town)
Nobody to catch it? It looks so close!
Not passing unobserved through the Grossmünster
Temporarily pinned by the City Hall of Zurich
The beginning of the end of this red moon 2018, captured through the trees along Zurich lake. A red moon long-lasting enough to be hunted across the city, from Zuri-West to Lake Zurich
All pictures shot hand-held with Nikon D800 plus Nikon 70-200 VRII 1/15 sec, f/3.5
