Colors fall from the sky
Some news channel recently included Cinque Terre, Liguria, Italy among the places to avoid because of mass tourism. They are probably right: I never managed booking an accommodation in Cinque Terre during spring, summer or autumn. What about winter, then? Enjoy the colors of Cinque Terre, painted out of the sky on each of the five villages.
Pictures shot in Vernazza and Porto Venere (the sixth “Cinque Terre”). Click each picture to enlarge

Au-revoir China
I have been on my own 4 day long in Harbin, without understanding a word and without being understood. Shops signs, bus stops and restaurant menus lost their meaning. The connection to the outer world turned flimsy. Still, several times I have been asked to pose for a souvenir picture with strangers. I had my fun playing the exotic creature with locals. And whenever I gestured for shooting a picture to someone else either in downtown, slums or rural areas, I always received a smile back. How warm was my human experience in Harbin, despite the constant -20 °C. Au-revoir, China!
Here below the full list of the reportage “Detour to China“. Pictures shot by Lorenzo Borghi, reportage edit by Maria Francesca.

The spirit of Ichnusa
Also this trip came to the end. We were not barefooted, like the 1,000 runners of Cabras (click on the picture to zoom in), whose yearly procession revives the rescue of Saint John’s statue from the Turkish Ottomans, who invaded the place in 1619. After hundreds of kms along the West Coast of Sardegna up to the North shores of Stintino. Across dozens of beaches, historical towns and old ruins. A trip pointed with delightful stopovers in the regions of Oristano and Alghero, explored in September 2017 by Lorenzo Borghi and Maria Francesca. Thanks for following it, below the 9 episodes of Ichnusa
