Santnerspitze postcards
Johann Santner was a Tyrolean mountaineer and first to reach the summit of the Santnerspitze of the Schlern (Sciliar), which was given his name in his honor in 1880. The Santnerspitze is a constant presence on the east side of the town of Siusi.

The skiing plateau
Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) is a Dolomite plateau and the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow (German: Alm) in Europe (Wiki)… and you might need 5 hours for comfortably skiing it east to west and back (and shoot many pictures in between).
Your round trip might begin close to the Schlern (Sciliar) double peak
… pass along the Sassolungo (long rock) e Sassopiatto (flat rock)…
… further skiing towards Monte Pana
.. and slowly back to Compatsch

Giddyup!
Giddyup mighty horse, bring us up to the pass
Giddyup! Giddyup! Trot in the snow
Giddyup! We are so comfy and warm behind here
Little horse what’s that shovel for?
The answer is coloring the snow…
