Santnerspitze postcards
Johann Santner was a Tyrolean mountaineer and first to reach the summit of the Santnerspitze of the Schlern (Sciliar), which was given his name in his honor in 1880. The Santnerspitze is a constant presence on the east side of the town of Siusi.

The skiing plateau
Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) is a Dolomite plateau and the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow (German: Alm) in Europe (Wiki)… and you might need 5 hours for comfortably skiing it east to west and back (and shoot many pictures in between).
Your round trip might begin close to the Schlern (Sciliar) double peak
… pass along the Sassolungo (long rock) e Sassopiatto (flat rock)…
… further skiing towards Monte Pana
.. and slowly back to Compatsch
