Hi-speed water: the Peilerbach (Vals) flows at 1/8000 sec with Nikon D800
Reality changes at the speed of 1/8000 seconds.
What flows freezes.
Water changes into glass filled with air bubbles.
Falls turn into transparent laces.
Water drops freeze in the air.
Shapes form like clouds in the sky.
and water foils design their transparencies.
Pictures shot with D800 + 70-200 VRII at 1/8000 secs at the Preilerbach (Vals), where one of the most famous Swiss waters is bottled. Click on each picture to magnify.
1/8000 indeed change to produce beautiful scene

Yeah! Flowing water is made more of bubbles than water, it looks like a fascinating tiny ecosystem.
The part that looks like a tiny ecosystem fascinates me 🙂
These bubbles reminded me of Carl Sagan reporting in his “Cosmos” the possibility of life in the ecosystem made by Jupiter’s clouds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos:_A_Personal_Voyage#Episodes
Oh I see 🙂
Love this, Lorenzo. Beautiful images and words. “Transparent laces” is so inspiring. Great post, as usual.
Thanks Windy. Actually, your article on ARTBorghi inspired those pictures, as I remember some of my hi-speed water pictures were included in it last year. Thanks again for visiting and commenting!
Oh, that’s so cool. Really happy to see your photography taking off. So glad we’re connected. Have a great week-end. 🙂
