Maple Red for your Birthday!
July the 1st, Ottawa: Canada Day in the capital city!
Red balloons! Red flags …
… red coats! Red leaves …
The entire Ottawa turned red for Canada day!

Our last day in Canada after Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Quebec City, we could also wear our red horns, wave our maple flags and say it loud: Happy 149th Birthday Canada !

Finally here!
Late also this year? Unbelievable.
No delays there, though …
I will stay here until she finally arrives!
Ahh, finally. Yes … There she is …
Welcome back Summer!
The crowd
Beneath the arches .. these tiny figures are the crowd.
Waiting for the next gondola, there is the crowd.
Queuing for San Marco cathedral, the crowd extends three blocks away.
Boat traffic jam, because of the crowd.
The gondolas in line, the people filling the bridge: the crowd(s).
And finally the market at Rialto bridge: the final crowd. Venice is the crowd, I cannot imagine it without.
