Tremola, *the* alpine scenic road in Switzerland: give it a drive!
Drive on the longest Swiss monument: Tremola road, from Airolo up to Saint Gotthard pass (2091 m.s.l.)
Where asphalt gives road to stone, here is the beginning of a very peculiar alpine road: the Tremola.
Thirty-seven hairpin turns in just nine kilometers: the finish line 900 meters above, at the Ospizio
Enjoy the breathtaking panorama while climbing up the soft steep.
Every turn has its name : Fopa, Santirana, Calanchitt … drive through at slow pace to enjoy all of them.
By motorbike, car or bike, here is the end of the Tremola: ready to explore what the Gotthard pass has to offer?

Up and down Ticino, Switzerland
Ticino is the Italian speaking region of Switzerland. Ticino is mountains and valleys, barely no flat lands. So, when you visit Ticino, you are always up and down.

Pictures shot up and down Lugano and Bellinzona, click to enlarge.

The fern forest on Alpe Cardada, Ticino, Switzerland
Follow me on this hike on the mild mountains of Ticino, the Italian (and sunny) side of Switzerland
Spy the lago Maggiore from the top of “Cima della Trosa“
Walk easy down to Alpe di Bietri
To reach the place where fields of wild ferns
cover the whole east side of the mountain.
Time to walk through the dark beech woods
to finally reach the sun again on Alpe Cardada
