The appearance of a curious-for-bananas Mr. Toad in my flat

So people say: toads heralds a successful time of drawing upon and using our inner resources.

Toads are associated with money and luck – especially changing your luck from bad to good.

People with a Toad totem can see things and people more clearly.

… wow! In the meantime, I shoot a few pictures to my random toad (Bufo bufo) that was probably escaping these cold spring nights … and, no, toads do not eat bananas but look very interested in the black spots…

Pictures shot with Nikon D800  + 50 mm f/1-4, click to magnify these close-ups!

Let me tell you this was the sweetest toad I ever met – I had really troubles to release it in nature, there are so many foxes and seagulls and crows and runners and kids out there …

I spent almost 1 hour looking for a proper location close to a pond 😀 Long life to the banana-toad !

Great image. What I found more interesting than the vibrant colours was the blend of textures of the shag rug, banana skin and the skin of the frog. They seem to compliment each other which enhance to colours. Very Nice!

Thanks Jim, indeed the stage was prepared with contrasting colours and textures to boost the toad shape and shades: I am glad you appreciated it. The toad was a very calm and curious model so I could shoot pictures without rush.
