“Perseids 2012: 100 shooting stars / minute”, so they said. Three intrepid photographer went to shoot such abundance of shooting stars from midnight on. One Nikonist and two Canonists plus a model. They all came back with a catch. Some the Milky Way, some the trees and the stars, all the airplanes flying over the dark Swiss nights, one the model with the rising moon.
And, by mere chance, the last flare of a very bright shooting star! Can you find the weak one, too?
Recognize the subjects in the pictures below! Picture specs: minute-long exposure, f/2.8, ISO 800-1600, 17-55 mm, remote control, tripod.
However, pockets are not big enough and good cameras are too heavy to carry around all day long. It is a pity for such gorgeous skyscape I had with me only a Samsung i9001. Do you have any suggestion for a smartphone / small camera with best compromise for size / quality?
